Zen Leaf opened New Jersey’s nineteenth cannabis dispensary location in Lawrence Township in Mercer County in Central Jersey.
It’s Zen Leaf’s third dispensary location in NJ after their flagship store in Union County and their already operational satellite cannabis dispensary, which opened in Monmouth County just outside of Asbury Park.
The current 12 vertical license holders are allowed to open up to three locations. While not all have done so, some have opened multiple locations, including Green Thumb Industries, Ayr Wellness, Curaleaf, and Columbia Care. Columbia Care is one of the original Multi-State cannabis Operators (MSOs).
This expansion is taking place while hundreds of applicants wait and struggle to become licensees themselves.
Zen Leaf’s had a soft opening today, while a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for tomorrow, with local officials and Zen Leaf employees expected to be in attendance.
The newest Zen Leaf location is at 3256 Brunswick Pike, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648, off Route 1 North. In-store cannabis pickup is available from Zen Leaf.
Zen Leaf NJ currently operates three NJ adult-use cannabis dispensaries. Zenleaf Lawrence, Zen Leaf Elizabeth, and Zen Leaf Neptune.
NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) Executive Director Jeff Brown announced it was open on Tuesday during the CRC meeting.
Zen Leaf in Lawrence Township will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Their website has competitive prices for oil cartridges at $60 and an eight of an Ounce or 3.5 grams for $60. However, they do not give you a discount for buying in bulk the way businesses in the underground and most legitimate industries always give. Thus their ounce comes out $360 plus tax, which is not competitive with the underground market.
