The OGeez! Gummy Brands

OGeez! brought to New Jersey its line of gummies. That includes their one-of-a-kind double-layered cream gummies, its popular Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) gummy, and its award-winning sleep gummy.

They sell many different types of gummies:

  • The Fruits line includes Watermelon, Red Apple, and Peach.
  • The Creams come with Blackberries & Cream, Orange Cream, and Peaches & Cream.
  • Peg’s Raspberry Orange RSO, for therapeutic potency and mouthwatering flavor.
  • OGeezzz! a popular sleep gummy.
  • Happy Balance, a delicious THC-CBD balanced gummy.
  • The OGeez! Naturals, a live rosin, vegan gummy.

The OGeez! Creams and Fruits are classics that come in both Indica and Sativa multi-flavored medley bags.

OGeez! gave Heady NJ a tour of their facilities and explained their manufacturing process. They are based in Maplewood in Essex in North Jersey on Rutgers Street detailed on their license.

Specializing in Gummies

Noonan noted in 2020 the company began focusing exclusively on gummies and eliminated other product lines.

He explained that taking gummies is more discreet than smoking which is one of the good things about gummies.

“There’s targeted effects and flavors,” Noonan added.

“To meet gummy demand, this takes a lot of work. I could use another couple thousand feet here. I couldn’t imagine getting into another space,” he explained.

Noonan said they want to sell more than the 100 mg of THC in a package of edibles limit mandated by the State of New Jersey’s rules and regulations.

“In Arizona we sell a 1000 mg 10 pack where each gummy is 100 mg,” Noonan noted.

He added that they are good for medical marijuana patients and those with a high tolerance. Noonan explained every state has different regulations on what gummies and the packaging looks like.

OG is planning to launch sugar-free products in the future since they will be healthier. It has taken time to perfect a replica of the texture of the sugary gummy to make it similar to their regular gummies.

Infused Cannabis Oil Details

He noted how the gummy ingredients and cannabis oil distillate are poured into molds to make gummies.

Distillate extraction is how gummies are infused with cannabis. Noonan said they are also infused with terpenes to enhance the strain of the cannabis oil distillate.

He said they get their distillate from the large Multi-State Operator (MSO) Verano, and the RSO is from the small MSO Loud Labs. OGeez! bought their live rosin from the local manufacturer Lily Extracts.

“We’re always looking for quality and check out the facilities,” Noonan said.

He explained they want to find quality full-spectrum RSO.

“I’m trying to ensure you get a nice full spectrum oil experience. That’s the way to go,” Noonan said.

After they are molded, the gummies are dried out for 24 hours. Then, they are packaged into small bags and boxes that go to dispensaries.

Noonan said they are conscious of pricing their gummies to be affordable.

“We thought prices were already too high. We want to make these affordable for consumers,” he declared. “I do think prices will continue to go down.”

Infused Cannabis Oil Types

“Solventless extraction allows you to have rich in cannabinoids, rich in terpenes,” Noonan explained. “In RSO, they still use solvents to extract it. The result is very rich in minor cannabinoid oil.”

He noted RSO has the entourage effect with the many cannabinoids working together to produce an enhanced feeling.

“Distillate is like Tropicana orange justice,” Noonan said.

Especially from concentrate.

In contrast, he argued that live rosin is more like freshly squeezed orange juice.

Jersey Ties

While having been launched in Arizona, OGeeze! has strong Jersey ties.

“I grew up in NYC and moved to Maplewood, NJ, 10 years ago. My wife is from New Jersey,” Noonan explained. “New Jersey is my home state. So, I’m especially proud to be joining the thriving cannabis community here.”

He said he managed the company remotely when he took over from his mother, Peggy Noonan, who sadly passed.

The NJ-CRC awarded them a conversion to the annual manufacturing license needed to open last April 2024.

They won a conditional NJ cannabis license in October 2022.

OGeez! entered the Jersey market with edible gummies after getting into the Illinois cannabis market. It’s their first state in the Northeast. The company was founded by the late trailblazing cannabis advocate Peggy Noonan, Bran’s mother.

It has carved out a reputation as an innovator and market leader.

“My mother was all about making cannabis accessible and creating gummies that kicked off the consumption experience with a memorable, mouthwatering bite.” This expansion is her legacy, and we’re proud to be carrying it out, Bran explained.

“My mother was part of the legacy market in Arizona way back in the 1960s & 1970s, during which she trafficked cannabis across the border and got into legal trouble,” Noonan explained.

“Didn’t learn her lesson. By ‘75, she got busted again. That’s when she went on long-term federal probation,” he added.

So the name of the company is more likely a reference to “OG standing for “Original Gangsta” than saying something instead of “Oh Jesus.”

Brad said Peggy eventually stopped when he was born and moved back to New York City in the late-1970s, and he grew up in Brooklyn. She ultimately became a general contractor in construction building restaurants.

Getting into Arizona Medical Marijuana 1st

Peggy moved back to Arizona around 1994. Arizona passed its medical marijuana legalization law in 2014. She opened one of the first edible manufacturing facilities in the state soon afterward. Bran noted that she partnered with a company and used her expertise to build the kitchen. Soon after, Peggy worked with Tommy Chong on a white labeling deal where their product was called his brand when the company was known as COPIA.

Before joining the company, Bran was a lawyer. In 2017 as legalization became popular, he started getting into the industry.

Brad took over the company in 2021 when Peggy passed while he was practicing law.

“COVID taught us you could do anything from afar,” he noted.

“We’re about to launch in Massachusetts this year,” Noonan explained about the company’s future.
