Jersey Strong Mollitiam Cannabis Products Face Dispensary Sale Issues

Mollitiam Jersey Strong cannabis products

The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) is reviewing all Jersey Strong /Mollitiam cannabis flower and oil-derived products currently on dispensary shelves due to technical issues.

Every single one of their products was pulled and is being reviewed. They have restored some products after reviewing them. This has been a problem for every brand that used their cannabis flower biomass to make infused cannabis oil to use in edibles and other products.

It might have caused the company to shut down.

So, the CRC forced many dispensaries to pull all the Jersey Strong /Mollitiam products for a few days.

Sources say a resolution is being worked on to continue sales. They have allowed some products to be sold on shelves again, a source told us.

Mollitiam has been supplying a lot of the market with cannabis flower biomass to make vape oil, like distillates, for a lot of companies.

A source said nearly 40 or 50 brands have been using their biomass to do so.

Jersey Strong /Mollitiam Cannabis Product Suspension

Heady NJ has received the following initial message from multiple licensed cannabis company operators:

“All flower and product that has passed through Mollitiam NJ LLC’s facilities has been placed on Administrative Hold in the Metrc Seed-to-Sale tracking system, preventing the transfer, distribution, or sale of those items. The Administrative Hold will remain in place while the NJ-CRC continues to conduct an investigation into the operations of Mollitiam NJ LLC.”

“While at this time there does not appear to be a public health risk related to the flower and product associated with Mollitiam NJ LLC, it is imperative that their partners retain all flower and product on hand and continue to conduct daily inventories pursuant to the implementing regulations. If information related to wholesaling, transfer manifests, or inventory are required from your business, you will be contacted by your assigned Compliance Officer.”

Several licensed cannabis operators have told Heady NJ they have several thousands of dollars worth of inventory they can’t sell now.

Some suspect their license has been suspended.

Their Instagram account does not acknowledge the incident nor describe much about them.

Source Blames CRC for Technical Issues

A source with knowledge of the situation said it was merely a technical tag issue on a very large batch of cannabis flower grown outdoors. They said a new inspector audited them.

Heady NJ’s source insisted that their cannabis plants were legally grown in New Jersey and have no health safety issues.

They attributed the problems to staffing issues and short-sightedness.

Mollitiam Leadership Issues

They also attributed the problem to “billionaire investors that don’t consume with overreaching control, lacking accountability and knowledge of what they were doing.”

“They are billionaires/millionaires. This was a toy,” our source added.

According to them, “2 brands are dismantled. All the employees were laid off Tuesday. The rich owners/investors retreat to their mansions and email the CRC.”

The CRC awarded Mollitiam a conditional cultivation license in September 2022. They won the annual cultivation license needed to open legally in October 2023.

The CRC sent the award letter to Ross Bevevino of Basking Ridge in Somerset County.

According to a source, the management team also included Steve Silva, Jeff Gonyo, and John Dziadzio.

According to Silva’s site, he is a veteran cannabis industry operator and consultant with roots in Northern California. He has experience with multiple cultivation and manufacturing companies, brands, states, and even 4 countries.

“While graduating Dean’s List at Sonoma State University, Silva managed and grew a leading hydroponics retail store in a mature Northern California market,” the site says.

It lists him as Mollitiam Co-Founder and President.

On LinkedIn, Gonyo lists himself as Head of Marketing and Sales. He previously worked for Bally’s Casino as Vice President of Marketing.

Background and Issues

Jersey Strong /Mollitiam seemed to debut strongly in the NJ cannabis market after winning several awards last year.

Usually, companies that have problems with CRC have people whispering allegations about what they are doing wrong. Especially if they are large Multi-Sate Operators (MSOs). However, nothing like that was heard by Heady NJ prior to this incident regarding Jersey Strong /Mollitiam.

According to the company, they are based in Plainfield in Union County. They also operate in Andover in Sussex County as well. They reviewed their application and approved it last April 2025.

The CRC has not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
