Eastern Green, Yuma Way Open 41st and 42nd NJ Medical Cannabis Dispensaries

Eastern Green Dispensary and Yuma Way have opened the 41^st and 42^nd NJ medical cannabis dispensaries in Voorhees in South Jersey and Garfield in North Jersey.

They won licenses during the 2019-2021 NJ medical cannabis license lottery.

The pace of openings has increased as the NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJCRC) is eager to increase NJ medical cannabis access and ownership diversity.

Many who won had to dust off plans that had been dormant for 29 months. While money remains a concern for many, there are options.

Eastern Green Dispensary Opens

Eastern Green Dispensary has opened at 78 NJ – 73 in Voorhees Township in Camden County in South Jersey.

They won approval to operate in Voorhees last August.

Their website has little information thus far. Like other NJ medical cannabis dispensaries, they are stocked with products considered by NJ cannabis experts and consumers to be overpriced.

Neelu Mudhar of Monroe Township in Middlesex County was granted permission by the NJCRC to change the place’s name from Eastern Green Incorporated to Eastern Green Dispensary. Initially, it was going to be named Starbuds. It is also the name of a cannabis corporation that is a Multi-State Operator (MSO).

Mudhar also owns a business called Green Home Builders doing business out of the same address in Monroe.

Yuma Way NJ Open

Yuma Way NJ has also opened at 517 River Dr. #A in Garfield in Bergen County. They are an MSO with dispensaries in California, Colorado, Michigan, and New Jersey. Yuma Way operates under multiple names in Colorado. They won a North Jersey medical cannabis dispensary license in 2021.

The NJCRC issued their winning letter to Margarita Tsalyuk. She is likely the sister of Rita Tsalyuk, the Founder and CEO. They launched in Colorado in 2015. On Michigan TV news, she described herself as a Ukrainian immigrant who arrived in 1990 with little money.

On their LinkedIn page, they call themselves a leader in social equity, among other things.

Many recently opened NJ medical cannabis dispensaries have already gotten approval to sell New Jersey recreational adult-use cannabis.
