The Elevated by the CannaBoss Lady dispensary is celebrating its 1st year anniversary and partnering with one of the first licensed delivery companies DirectLeaf.
It is the 1st independent, women-owned dispensary to open in Maplewood in North Jersey. On Thursday, September 12th, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Elevated by the CannaBoss Lady is celebrating all day. So there will be deals on select products, Sweet Treats, a live acoustic guitar performance by The Maybe, and the unveiling of a Sketch of the Dispensary by the artist Ken Stanek.
“We officially opened our doors as the first independent, women-owned dispensary on August 31st last year. After a soft opening, we had our grand opening on October 21st. This past year has been an amazing journey, though not without challenges. We have persevered. And we love sharing our passion for cannabis with our community,” Elevated by CannaBoss Lady CEO Jill Cohen said.
“We cater to those with a refined taste and believe that cannabis can transform lives into an elevated experience when properly used,” she explained. “Also, we offer a 5-star experience that starts with our luxurious, friendly environment with highly educated budtenders ready to guide every customer on their journey.”
“Our diverse team of local SOMA (South Orange Maplewood) residents are prepared to bring you joy and excitement. They’re committed to delivering a higher level of wellness!!” Cohen exclaimed.
Licensed Direct Leaf Delivery LLC New to NJ Cannabis Market
The CannaBoss Lady dispensary and CBD apothecary company is thrilled to announce that they are partnering with one of the first legally licensed cannabis delivery companies, DirectLeaf. The service begins this month.
The licensed delivery company Direct Leaf selected them as the debut dispensary for its delivery services. According to Cohen, they are a Black woman and social equity-owned business. The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJCRC) awarded them their annual license necessary to open this past July 2024.
DirectLeaf is one of the first legal, licensed cannabis delivery companies to enter the licensed New Jersey cannabis market.
According to their LinkedIn profile, they are “driven by a commitment to excellence. We prioritize offering top-tier products and services to both medicinal and recreational customers. Our goal is to make a significant and positive impact within the cannabis industry. Through strategic partnerships with dispensaries, we aim to expand into new market spaces while ensuring exceptional customer service for retail customers.”
Licensed adult-use cannabis dispensaries are allowed to deliver their products to customers. The separate delivery license has been discussed a lot in the New Jersey cannabis market over the years before we have finally seen the companies open up. It was not one of the first adult-use licenses the NJCRC allowed companies to apply for initially. Setting up New Jersey medical cannabis delivery for patients also took years after it was first legalized in 2019.
Delivery is allowed to homes in towns that do not allow dispensaries, which remains more than half of them.
The companies will likely run like Uber where the drivers use their own car.
Elevated by the CanaBoss Lady Dispensary Selling Minority Owned Company Products
Elevated by the CannaBoss Lady is also partnering with Precious Prerolls. Precious Osagie-Erese founded the company. She is a cannabis entrepreneur and advocate. So, their brand is a story of adversity and triumph. A young Black woman is taking the cannabis industry by storm to bring restorative justice and economic growth to her community.
According to Cohen, Precious speaks to every person who has ever been knocked down and led to rethink life’s journey. But found the strength to persevere with the support of community, pure grit, and a will to succeed.
“This brand is representative of people who are chasing dreams, pushing the limit, and breaking glass ceilings. Let this brand serve as a reminder to never stop dreaming,” Cohen added.
Elevated by the CannaBoss Lady also features the grower Prolific Growhouse. They are a proudly Black-owned cannabis brand founded by David Nicolas in the heart of Trenton, New Jersey.
The State of New Jersey recently promoted Governor Phil Murphy’s surprise tour of the facility.
Prolific Growhouse made deals with cannabis corporations that are Multi-State Operators (MSOs) to get to market. They’re featured in over 75 dispensaries across North, Central, and South Jersey. Prolific Growhouse offers strains that they call dope and fun, crafted for both quality and enjoyment.
