There isn’t a better way to celebrate New Jersey’s cannabis legalization than the 420 Expo. It will be one of the first-ever consumer cannabis conventions at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, September 16-18, 2022.
Presented by Wakit Grinders, the 420 Expo will be a celebration of all things cannabis related. On-site sales, gifting, or distribution of cannabis or THC is not permitted at the event under New Jersey law. You are permitted to possess the legal limit (up to six ounces for personal use) when attending the 420 Expo, which will be a B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Cannabis) event. It will feature a dedicated outdoor smoking area which will also feature food trucks, games, music, and entertainment.
The three-day public event is expected to draw over 15,000 cannabis enthusiasts. It is being produced by long-time trade show producers Three Expo Events. They have been creating popular niche events around the country for over 16 years. They have worked with the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center for 14 years.
“This is both a location and industry that we’ve had an eye on for quite a while,” said J. Handy, Director of Three Expo Events. “With our unique experience of running large consumer events and the ever-growing interest in the consumer cannabis market, we knew that we had to do something. And the result is the first-ever 420 Expo.”
The 420 Expo opens Friday, September 16th, from 5 pm until 11 pm, Saturday, September 17th, from 12 pm until 9 pm, and Sunday, September 18th, from 12 pm until 6 pm.
The 420 Expo in Edison
Like any consumer trade show, the 420 Expo will feature an exhibit hall with over 100 cannabis-related vendors. They include dispensaries, CBD companies, on-site glass blowing, the sale of accessories, non-profits, advocates, legal advice, business and employment opportunities, and lots more. An outdoor dining area is aptly named the “Stoner Food Court.” It will also have plenty of tasty fare for anyone with a case of the munchies.
The 420 Expo will also feature a full, professionally produced entertainment stage. It will have a nonstop schedule of demonstrations, contests, celebrity Q&A sessions, music, and other performances to keep the party going.
Cannabis Convention Highlights
Another key feature of the cannabis convention is the 420 Seminar Series featuring panels and programming which are both educational and entertaining. Consumers can learn about medical cannabis, legal cannabis rights, and getting into the industry. Also, there will be fun discussions on the best stoner movies and making infused THC treats.
Several featured celebrity guests will be on hand to meet and greet and sign autographs at the 420 Expo. In addition, daily 4:20 and 7:10 celebrations, giveaways, musical guests, and a VIP lounge. There will be an array of amazing vendors awaiting attendees inside and outside the weekend-long event. When the doors close at the expo, the fun doesn’t end. Nightly after-parties will take place throughout the area.
