Many NJ Cannabis Events Planned for 4/20/2025 Weekend and the Year

NJ 4/20 2025 Cannabis Events

Many cannabis events and parties are being planned for the 4/20/2025 weekend next month throughout New Jersey and the rest of the year.

4/20 is the traditional stoner holiday.

Unfortunately, it falls on East Sunday this year. So many are holding parties the day before.

Notably, 4/19 is Bicycle Day, which is when LSD was discovered. It’s also the start of the American Revolution. So those could be celebrated too.

4/21 is when the legal NJ adult-use cannabis market officially opened 3 years ago.

The Cannabis Ospreys Club at Stockton University are taking the initiative to hold an infused dinner soon.

Recharge Wellness wants to get ahead of the game and is holding an event on Thursday, April 17th in Woodbury in South Jersey.

On 4/19 the Weedtopia Festival is being held in Edison in Central Jersey. They are planning to hold a large event with vendors, games, performers, and music.

The notorious NJ Weedman is holding his annual block party at his Joint in Trenton in Central Jersey, on Saturday, the 19th.

The Takeoff Lounge in Newark in North Jersey is holding a party on 4/19 and 4/20 called Smoke Fest. The flyer says there will be live art and performances. The Takeoff Lounges hosts a lot of different weed parties throughout the year.

On 4/19, Highly Elevated Glass in North Plainfield said they’re holding “Blazed and Amazed, a carnival-style event featuring a bunch of games.”

There will also be glassblowers sharing their work along with seshing.

Notably, the band group Cypress Hill will be heading to Atlantic City to celebrate 4/20 with their 2025 Bongwalk Empire show on 4/19 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Atmosphere, Dilated Peoples, and The Pharcyde will be featured too.

4/20 Dispensary Parties

A lot of dispensaries across Jersey are also hosting 4/20 weekend parties.

NJ Garden State of Mind is holding a 4/19 paint n’ chill party at the Doobiez dispensary in West Milford in Passaic County.

Anja Dispensary in Highland Park in Middlesex County is also doing a 4/19-4/20 weekend fest.

Aurum Botanics in Permberton in Burlington County is also holding a party on 4/19 too.

Several other dispensaries are having parties as well to lure potential customers like Everst in Atlantic City.

Atlantic City will be the site of many parties by dispensaries. Several in AC want to open consumption lounges as soon as they are allowed.

There’s also a bud crawl going on.

The Multi-State Operator (MSO), the Cannabist dispensary in Vineland, is hosting a 4/20 Farmers Market Celebration from April 18 to April 20, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a variety of promotions, fun activities, and exclusive offers, including discounts, giveaways, DIY stations with cannabis products, photo booth sessions, mocktails, flowers, food trucks, and more.

NJ Smokers Club is having a party too.

Political NJ Cannabis Events

There are a range of other weed events this year, like cannabis parties, conferences, and protests.

So, the NJ Home Grow Coalition is holding another Earth Day protest at the NJ State House in Trenton, spearheaded by the Sativa Cross activist non-profit on April 22nd.

Last year, they planted baby weed plants on the State House lawn before getting at by the state police.

Also, on that day, the Students for a Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) chapter of Rowan University are throwing a happy hour.

There, of course, will be more NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJCRC) meetings. The posted schedule is:

  • Thursday, May 1st (virtual)
  • Thursday, June 5th
  • Thursday, July 10th (virtual)
  • Thursday, August 7th
  • Wednesday, September 10th (virtual)
  • Thursday, October 2nd
  • Thursday, December 11th

There will also be more political cannabis events like home grow protests and legislative hearings. June is when many significant hearings and protests at the State House are held in general. Especially the last week.

NJ Cannabis Industry Cups, Events, & Conferences

Notably, after last year’s cannabis award shows and cups, other organizations want to hold their own too.

So, the MJ Unpacked conference is coming up in Atlantic City from April 29th to May 1st. They’re holding the MJU Cannabis Cup. According to the site, Ganjiers or cannabis experts will judge the entries. They are working with the NJ Canna Business Association (NJCBA) President Scott Rudder’s dispensary, Township Green in Riverside in South Jersey.

The MJU Cup will be on May 1st at the nearby Showboat Hotel. They will be giving out awards to producers of quality flower, concentrates, and edibles. MJ Unpacked also wants to give out a community builder award and feature many panels and exhibitors.

The annual NECANN conference will be September 5th and 6th  in Atlantic City. They want to hold a Cannabis Cup as well. NECANN is holding a kick-off party for it on April 30th at the Island Waterpark at the Showboat Hotel. More details will be revealed soon.

The Heady NJ Craft Cannabis Celebration on Saturday May3rd

Heady NJ is holding a Craft Cannabis Celebration in Jersey City on Saturday, May 3rd! We want to enjoy the progress that has been made and discuss what needs to be done while having fun in a cannabis-consumption-friendly atmosphere.

The Champs trade show featuring smoke shops and their supplies is in Atlantic City from May 6-th 8th. Champs is the most nationally focused and hemp-focused of all the NJ cannabis industry conferences.

It’s the most nationally focused versus locally focused of the conventions.

The annual Cannabis World Congress (CWC) conference in the Javits Center in New York City rebranded itself to the Cannabis Means Business conference (CMB) and will be held June 4th to 5th. Being so close to Jersey, it often sees many leading entrepreneurs and professionals attend.

7/10 OIL Day might also see some celebrations. It’s like 4/20, but for weed oil. Oil Day is bigger on the West Coast, where the hash/concentrate/oil culture is more established.

Unfortunately, the 4/20 Expo sent an email recently saying they won’t be holding their annual fall cannabis consumer convention at the Edison Expo Center this year.

The Real Cannabis Entrepreneur conference will probably be held in Newark in October again as well. No details have been released yet.

The NJ Canna Business Association and the NJ Cannabis Chamber of Commerce will likely hold networking events and happy hours throughout the year.

Cannademix is likely going to hold more events too.

More organizations are also likely going to hold smaller events throughout the State.

In general, dispensary pop-ups will continue to be promoted as a marketing strategy. There will also be more dispensary grand openings, which have become very common as the NJ adult-use cannabis market has developed.

Underground legacy pop-ups are also likely to continue periodically.
