The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Far & Dotter franchisee owner Haider Rizi (pictured above, far right), along with Pemberton Mayor Matthew Bianchini (pictured center left) and David and Wendy Bronfien.
“This is another business that will support jobs for our economy, tax revenue for our township,” Bianchini stated. “This is really a good day.”
Wendy and Haider spoke about the planning and process involved in making this store a reality over 3 years. Haider talked about how meaningful this opportunity is to him.
“We are here to serve this community well,” he assured the crowd.
Pemberton Location Grand Opening
Far & Dotter of Pemberton was peaceful and polished. The pleasant staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. The dispensary offers a wide variety of brands of flower, carts, and edibles, as well as concentrates and tinctures. Prices were competitive. They plan to offer discounts each day of the week.

Food trucks from The Spud Shack and The Sandwich Shop were set up for the opening party outside.
Event Featured Products
The event also highlighted other producers Far & Dotter partnered with. Airo hosted a table at the event, educating those in attendance about their AiroPods. These high-quality carts have a special battery durable enough that they guarantee it for a year. The Pods slide right into the battery for ease of access for everyone.
The Multi-State Operator (MSO) brand Select also showed off some of its products. They also had Jams edibles for sleepy, relaxation, and energy moods. The Anthem “cigarette packs” with 10 mini prerolls were looking crisp. Another impressive product was the Briq 2. The cartridge tracks the exact amount of mg inhaled on a meter, very helpful in gauging how much one has consumed.
Backed By Curio Wellness
The Far & Dotter story started in Maryland with Curio, its product brand and parent company.
According to the company, the Curio production brand is conscious of the science behind each cannabinoid and terpenes. They factor that goes into its products to customize them to specific purposes. Their “Best Self” collection featured edibles created specially for “Sleep”, “Thrive”, “Sex”, “Chill”, and edibles specialized to treat Pain.

As an MSO, Curio’s Best-Self products are available in Maryland and Missouri, with select products available in New Jersey and New York as well.
The Far & Dotter Team
Haider Rizi is the new owner and franchisee for the Far & Dotter Pemberton Location.
(Haider is also a Heady NJ Patreon member full disclosure.)
He comes in as a physical therapist and healthcare worker of 16 years. Something that inspired him was seeing how cannabinoid products supported his patients struggling with conditions such as lupus and chronic pain.
Reverend Julie Aziz, the warm new manager at the Pemberton location, worked for multiple other dispensaries, as well as Edibles Magazine in California.
As a cancer survivor, when she got into medical cannabis in her career, she was at the same time a medical patient in California. She talks with clients and shows them how people can truly benefit. “I believe in the healing power of cannabis”, she said. “It’s helping people tremendously”.
Curio was started by Wendy, David, and Michael Bronfien. Back in 2018, Far & Dotter was a medical dispensary. It has since retained its focus on the scientific aspect of the plant as it has moved into adult use.
Wendy is the “Dotter” (daughter in Swedish) who created the Far & Dotter company with her “Far” (father in Swedish), Michael. She is now the Chief Brand Officer for Curio Wellness.
David Bronfien worked in real estate, investment, and as an attorney. He now works as general counsel for the company.
Wendy Bronfien, the “Dotter”, works as the Chief Brand Officer of Curio Wellness. Wendy also leads product innovation and research with the development team. She meets quarterly with an advisory board of physicians and scientists of note to talk about the evolution of their goals. Currently, the company is working on “pulse” technology for more of their edibles, so they last longer, keeping pain at bay and guts healthy.
Notably, they have their own pharmaceutical clinical director. Nina Fergus advises the team to help integrate scientific cannabinoid-based medicine and guides patients.
So Far & Dotter says they are “committed to truly leveraging the distinct chemicals in cannabis to provide people with the perfect strains for maximum benefits and pain relief.”
