Snoop Dogg Drops Do It Fluid, THC Drinks in NJ, GA, TN

Snoop Dogg and his company, Iconic Tonics, announced the expansion of their THC hemp drinks “Do It Fluid” and “Doggy Spritz” into New Jersey, along with Georgia and Tennessee.

Like many popular THC-infused hemp seltzers, they are weak and only have a low dose of THC in them. So you have to drink several of them to get high, especially if you have a high tolerance.

THC is the thing that gets you high in weed.

Snoop Dogg THC Hemp Drinks in Jersey

So Snoop Dogg’s company has introduced a couple of THC hemp drinks. One is called “Do It Fluid,” which they said is a smooth and flavorful beverage experience. Doggy Spritz is a “refreshingly effervescent seltzer set to further energize these already dynamic markets.”

According to them, New Jersey’s undeniable impact on hip-hop and popular culture, plus its proximity to New York City, makes it a natural next step for the brand.

Snoop has shared the stage in New Jersey with local music stars like Redman. He has also worked with Jersey native hip hop stars Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill, and Naughty by Nature.

All four are from Essex County in North Jersey.

“Each of these places has shown me love and helped shape culture, from hip-hop to soul to country,” said Snoop Dogg. “I’ve rocked with artists from all three, been inspired by the sounds.”

Atlanta and Nashville also have large music scenes with famous stars he has worked with.

“Now I’m bringing my energy there with Do It Fluid and Doggy Spritz. Good music, good people, and now, good drinks,” Snoop Dogg added.

In 2020, he joked with Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small about wanting to open a cannabis company there and help revitalize it.

Iconic Tonics THC Hemp Drinks

Iconic Tonics has partnered with three of the most respected and established beverage distributors, like Allied Beverage Group in New Jersey, Best Brands Inc. in Tennessee, and Savannah Distributing Company in Georgia.

“Expanding into New Jersey, Georgia, and Tennessee allows us to tap into mature hemp markets with deep cultural roots. These states have shaped music and lifestyle,” said Iconic Tonics CEO Evan Eneman.

He noted Snoop’s influence and warm reception from retailers due to his recognition helps.

“We’re excited to bring ‘Do It Fluid’ and ‘Doggy Spritz’ to consumers ready for this next evolution,” Eneman declared.

Consumers can soon expect to find these unique hemp-infused beverages at select retailers across the state and on DoorDash.

According to a company spokesperson, the team chose New Jersey because it’s a more mature cannabis/hemp market. Also, Jersey has a strong network of alcohol distribution, which helps get products on shelves efficiently.

Plus, they believe the regulatory framework in the state is clear and well-defined. Arguably, it helps their team scale with less risk.

Iconic Tonics called itself a “purpose-driven beverage platform dedicated to developing and scaling better-for-you beverages, powered by functional ingredients and consumer demand for healthier alternatives.”

Snoop Dogg and Celebrity Cannabis Brands

Snoop Dogg has been at the forefront of cannabis legalization and acceptance into mainstream culture.

After years of being one of the most famous stoners ever, he built a business empire that includes different cannabis brands as well as Merry Jane, a media company specializing in cannabis.

Thus, Snoop Dogg is far more influential and involved in the cannabis culture, movement, and industry than other celebrities who have launched cannabis brands.

NJ Intoxicating Hemp Issues

A lot of people would like to see THC drinks banned or sold exclusively in licensed adult-use cannabis dispensaries.

Last fall, 2024, New Jersey tried to ban intoxicating hemp products. But then a lawsuit tossed out part of what was supposed to be enforced. Hemp companies appealed and have reported ongoing negotiations continuing.

The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) issued an edict against shady artificial THC hemp. But it’s unclear what has been done to enforce that.

Heady NJ expected the legislature to act before their summer recess, but they ultimately did not after they seemed eager to do so at a hearing in May.

Several leading figures in the licensed cannabis industry would like to see THC hemp drinks banned or sold exclusively in licensed adult-use cannabis dispensaries.

But Booze, which can easily lead to poisoning, is very lucrative and respectable in stark contrast to cannabis. Plus, hemp drinks seem to be very popular among consumers unconcerned with the legal differences between cannabis and hemp.

So, several cannabis companies are playing both sides now.
