The cannabis product manufacturer Sun Extractions Inc. launched their premium cannabis concentrate and vape brands, SUN and Space Ranger, in the New Jersey market.
Specializing in hydrocarbon extractions, the locally owned company could revolutionize the local industry with high-quality cannabis vape cartridges or carts or vaporizers and concentrates for dabbing.
Vape carts are good when you want to smoke but don’t want to worry about the smell. Dabs are good when you need something strong.
Co-founder and Vice President of Product & Sales at Sun Extractions Nate Green explained they are slowly rolling out products to a few dispensaries:
- Daylite Cannabis dispensary in Mount Laurel
- Pure Blossom in Pennington
- New Era dispensary in South Bound Brook
- Downtown Flwr in Jersey City
- Doobiez in West Milford
- Elevated Herb in West Milford
“We’re starting slow with the dispensaries. We don’t end up with too many and can’t fill re-orders,” Green explained.

Green explained Sun Extractions used cannabis flower from Garden Greens, North Lake Supply, and Brighterside Farms to make their cannabis products.
Both Garden Greens and Brighterside Farms won trophies at the first legal New Jersey cannabis cup recently held at the 4/20 Expo.
Green said they are the first to make products with Brighterside which they are using to make resin.
“I’m lucky to have some very amazing partners. It’s really exciting to see all the cultivators come online in New Jersey,” NG said.
Getting premium biomass from cannabis plants was a big issue initially for them and many others.
“A year ago, I was very worried about finding biomass,” Green noted.
SUN Products
Their flagship SUN brand will focus on live and cured resin products, while Space Ranger will introduce terpene-infused products for an unparalleled flavor experience.
The company is also thrilled to welcome an award-winning pioneer in live resin from California, Noel Liese of Nectars Collective. According to his LinkedIn profile, Liese became their Vice President of Extraction in June 2024.
Green praised Liese’s skills and said he is one of the best since he won a High Times cannabis cup along with others.
“He uses some proprietary methods,” he noted. “Noel’s process and the process we’ve developed… comes from his Cali roots.”

Introducing Space Ranger
Space Ranger products are for those seeking to elevate their cannabis experience to new cosmic heights.
Sun Extractions is launching liquid diamonds plus sauce vaporizers and crumble concentrates in three flavors:
“I’m really excited to get these out. We’ve been developing them for a year,” Green said. “We’ve got some amazing flavors to put into new formats.”
- Meteor Melon
- Tropical Teleport
- Starfruit Surge.
He explained they whittled it down from 10 flavors to 3.
“Our Space Ranger brand has a first-of-its-kind product line. We developed these products to showcase delicious flavors without sacrificing the entourage effect provided by full spectrum extracts,” said Green.
“Consumers will find that the Space Ranger products offer a unique combination of flavor and effect,” he declared.
Green noted they used a mix of liquid diamonds, sauce, and botanical terpenes on top to make the Watermelon flavor concentrate Meteor Melon.
He said it could be the first concentrate with both added flavors that is full-spectrum, and includes the benefits of many cannabinoids.
“If you like fruity flavors… and something that tastes like watermelon candy… Space Ranger is for you,” Green explained.
Sun Exactractions Company Background
Sun Extractions built a state-of-the-art facility in Hamilton in Central Jersey.
Green noted they started the process in 2021. Getting through the process of manufacturing requests and dealing with the red tape took time.
“It’s important to make sure products are approved by the State,” he conceded.
The Hamilton Township Council approved a resolution awarding them permission to open in town this past June 2024. Sun Extractions received Hamilton Township Planning Board approval to open in May 2023.
At the meeting, Lovas explained to the council that they were nearly complete with the construction of their facility.
The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJCRC) awarded them the annual manufacturing license needed to open in February 2023.
The NJCRC sent their award letter to Lovas in Freehold, which is also in Central Jersey.
They were among the winners of the first cannabis company grants from the NJ Economic Development authority (NJEDA) awarded.
Sun Extractions crossed strains to make a live resin dab, which will be available soon. Also, they are aiming to release infused pre-rolls in the New Jersey cannabis market next January 2025.
While New Jersey dispensaries have been popping up at a wild rate since summer 2023, the pace for growers and manufacturers has been slower. However, the pace picked up this past spring 2024. It has continued to gain speed.
