The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) is postponing an informational cannabis webinar to Wednesday, October 13th, at 7 p.m.
It was initially scheduled for tomorrow at 7. The CRC postponed it to provide more notice for the public and allow more time for questions to be submitted.
The webinar will illuminate recently established recreational or adult-use cannabis rules. They will focus on issues related to municipalities, community members, and potential entrants into the industry.

Cannabis Webinar Postponed
The cannabis zoom webinar will cover an overview of the recreational cannabis rules, a breakdown of the social equity provisions, what potential applicants can do to prepare for applications, protections for financial service agreements and other contracts, and expectations for neighborhoods with cannabis businesses.
There has been no movement on the 2019 license round, a process that started 26 months ago. In addition, the CRC missed its deadline to announce a new round of adult-use cannabis license applications.
While 23 medical cannabis dispensaries locations have opened, Coalitional of Medical Marijuana of NJ (CMMNJ) Executive Director Ken Wolski noted there is no medical cannabis home delivery. Physician’s Assistants and Advanced Practice Nurses still can’t prescribe medical cannabis, and there are no guidelines around dosing.
Therefore, New Jersey cannabis is in its de facto position of endless waiting. It is still not fulfilling its full potential of helping patients, and it certainly is not generating a robust industry either.
