Farechild Events produced the 2nd annual MJU Cup as a part of the MJ Unpacked cannabis industry convention held in Atlantic City.

According to a release, 151 products were entered into 12 categories by a total of 26 New Jersey cannabis cultivators and manufacturers.

Three Level 2 Certified Ganjiers independently tested all products. Green Flower Media created the Ganjier program.

The judging was conducted through the Ganjiers Systematic Assessment Protocol (SAP). Final results were analyzed for any statistical outliers and retested if required. Special recognition was given based on aroma across all flower categories and across all concentrates.

Every product entered received a SAP score along with the judges’ comments for feedback and product improvement. The judges were compensated for their time and expertise.

Township Green Dispensary in Riverside in South Jersey served as the official uptake location for all samples.

Heady NJ was very present at the convention, but needs to recuperate, so we were not present at the Cup itself. Our highlights and analysis of the MJ Unpacked will be featured in another story.

Two NJ Cannabis Cups Held in AC in 2 Weeks

Tension with High Times over their Cup held the week before in Atlantic City as well was evident since both events were so close to each other.

Every legal cannabis cup in Jersey has led someone to complain to Heady NJ about how it was held in some way, shape, or form.
