The large Multi-State Operator (MSO) Curaleaf announced it is taking over the Boone Town Provisions dispensary in Boonton, Morris County, in North Jersey.
They announced they “acquired an equity stake and certain operating rights” in Boone Town Provisions dispensary.
“Boone Town Provisions is one of the top-performing dispensaries in New Jersey,” said Boris Jordan, Chairman and CEO of Curaleaf, in a release. “We have acquired our interest in the dispensary at an attractive valuation that aligns with our disciplined approach to capital allocation. The acquisition strengthens our position in New Jersey, allows us to increase our vertical position, adds a proven, high-performing location to our retail footprint, and expands access to our brands for more customers in the state.”
Boon Towne Provisions Dispensary Taken Over by Curaleaf
Notably, Boon Towne Provisions was among the dispensaries that got approval for an ownership change by the NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJCRC) last week.
It opened in July 2024 after winning a cannabis dispensary license in March 2024. The 6,400-square-foot store sits on a busy stretch of Myrtle Avenue with few dispensaries nearby.
Boone Towne Provisions had prided itself on being women-owned when it initially opened.
Curaleaf’s release said little about who owned and operated it.
Boonton has long been a pro-cannabis town. The MSO TerrAscend has a cultivation facility there. They are among the dispensaries selling Best in Grass 2026 NJ Cannabis Cup kits. Boone Town Provisions did so last year as well.
They were also among the New Jersey dispensaries selling the unique Flower Union gummies in July 2025.
Boone Town Provisions will now be added to Curaleaf’s chain of New Jersey dispensaries located in Bellmawr, Bordentown, and Edgewater Park in South Jersey and 191 nationally overall.
With their location in the suburbs, they likely have a finite amount of zero-sum game competition fears from shady smoke shops and very close dispensaries plaguing many New Jersey dispensary owners.
