We are Jag and Gina Gill, proud life partners and co-founders of Everest Dispensary, a trusted adult-use cannabis retailer providing exceptional products and personalized customer service for wellness seekers of all experience levels.
It’s named after the tallest mountain in the world. Everest epitomizes the euphoric sensation and strength associated with our premium recreational cannabis-infused items.
We’re based in the heart of downtown Atlantic City, New Jersey. We seek to help people unlock cannabis’ transformative benefits and holistic properties, while guiding them through a journey of self-exploration and discovery.

Opening Up
Coincidentally, we acquired our local resolution license on April 20, 2022, a sure-fire sign that Everest Dispensary was destined for greatness.
It took two and a half years to undergo the necessary steps, including coming up with financing, learning novel marketing techniques, and practicing patience and fortitude in a heavily regulated, competitive, and experimental environment.
So, we officially opened Everest in November 2024. We held our ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:20 pm to stay on theme with the 4/20 tradition. The celebration was held by the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce with Mayor Marty Small Sr. officiating and doing the honors.
This was a major milestone for us. It symbolized a shared commitment to uphold the area’s economic vitality and uplift community initiatives. We were enthusiastic to establish our minority, women-certified, and family-owned dispensary in Atlantic City due to its thriving culture and sense of community.
Once we set up shop, we’ve made efforts to foster long-lasting relationships with people from various backgrounds, champion diversity and inclusion, and give back to local causes close to our hearts.
In a short period of time, we went from 20 to 100 customers after investing significant amounts of time and energy, overcoming adversity, surpassing barriers, and proving naysayers wrong.
In the six months since we’ve launched, we’ve achieved an impressive five-star Google rating and over 1,300 positive reviews, with more flooding in. It demonstrates that anything is attainable with hard work and consistency.
So, we want to give a special thanks to Atlantic City for its unwavering encouragement and for trusting a couple of out-of-town folks with a vision.
The city has truly become our adoptive home. We look forward to sustaining our mutual partnership for years to come.
Ownership Background
Moving to the U.S. from India as a teenager, Jag has worked in retail since the age of 16 and has always been an innovator, dreamer, and entrepreneur, applying fierce persistence, ambition, passion, and determination to all of his endeavors.
Meanwhile, Gina earned her BS in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), serving as the operational backbone of our company.
We opened the dispensary after management had flourishing business ventures in California and with kickstarting several fundraising events. We’ve held car washes and Christmas toy drives for the communities that shaped us. So we wanted to broaden our multifaceted talents to the cannabis enterprise to aid people in amplifying their full potential.
As Punjabi-Jatt immigrants, we are in awe of Everest’s rapid growth and are deeply appreciative of the overflowing love and support.
We’re living proof that the American Dream is only what you make of it. If you don’t chase your dream, it’ll never come into fruition, and you’ll always fall short. You need to rewire your mindset to think that the sky’s the limit.
When we’re not conceptualizing original ideas to enhance the marijuana landscape or pouring into the community, we can be found spending quality time with our three wonderful children.
Leading the Way
One of our goals is to counteract and dispel preconceived stereotypes and misconceptions people have about cannabis through outreach and teaching. We want to leave a meaningful legacy that will reverberate throughout generations. Our goal is to form Everest Dispensary branches in numerous locations, ultimately and become the number one cannabis store in the United States.
Moreover, we envision leading charitable patronage to help advance community building, social connections, and progress. We believe that the cannabis space has the capacity to usher people into a sweeping modern age that embraces reinvention, expressiveness, adaptability, resourcefulness, and ingenuity.
We hope to solidify ourselves as trailblazers, revolutionizing the cannabis community and the world one greenery at a time.
