The Trump Administration took a major step towards reversing the Obama Administration’s policy of utilizing a hands-off approach towards enforcing federal marijuana laws. Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a memo directing federal prosecutors to “use previously established prosecutorial principles that provide them all the necessary tools to disrupt criminal organizations, tackle the growing drug crisis, and thwart violent crime across our country.”
