Heady NJ was informed there would be ample representation from both sides of the issue. There will be speakers that were invited from the legal states throughout the U.S.
If you cannot attend, you will be able to listen to the audio directly here: http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/media/live_audio.asp
The hearing is expected to go for 5+ hours, with a series of panels discussing issues such as social justice, economics, community health, etc. According to Chief of Staff Joe Dibofsky, for Assemblyman Joe Danielson, Committee Chairperson, “There is no specific bill this hearing is based on and serves as an overall discussion and educational forum.”
“This hearing will serve as an opportunity to establish a baseline of information for the committee. The members will then go on the road and go to the people in the North, Central and Southern parts of the state, where there will be an opportunity for the public to speak on the issue, whether for or against. These dates will be announced on Monday,” according to the Assemblyman’s office.
“We encourage you to come out and speak on your feelings on the issue and encourage you and like-minded individuals” to be heard.
