Hzy Goods Dispensary East Orange

EAST ORANGE, NJ — HZY Goods is celebrating its Grand Opening as the first cannabis dispensary in East Orange Thursday, November 13.

The dispensary is bringing good vibes to the Garden State at its new location, 19 Prospect Street, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy discount deals, giveaways, vendor pop-ups, and brand activations. The celebration will also include product education sessions and opportunities to meet the HZY Goods team and local partners.

Among the vendors that will be there are Dime, Heavy Hitters, Fernway Rhythm, Journyman, West Orange Farms, Haze Mudd Brothers, Cookies, Kynd, Hire Wired, TerrAscend, Jersey Canna, and Black Buddha.

The dispensary blends community, creativity, and quality, offering premium flower, pre-rolls, vapes, and edibles designed for every kind of vibe. The owners say their goal was to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

“Our goal has always been to make cannabis approachable, fun, and rooted in community,” said a spokesperson for HZY Goods. “East Orange is full of vibrant culture and good people. We’re proud to bring something unique.”

HZY Goods first opened its doors on October 20.

The dispensary is committed to collaborating with local entrepreneurs and small businesses. Among its vendors is Precious Osagie-Erese, an entrepreneur and city vendor, whose Precious pre-roll brand will be featured at the shop.

HZY Goods also plans to work with Tiyahnn Bryant, who is developing the legal cannabis delivery company Roll Up Life.

Background on HZY Goods

HZY Goods is a mom-and-pop micro cannabis dispensary located in the heart of East Orange. Staci Puleo is the primary owner and has built the business with her husband, Rob.

Before opening HZY Goods, Staci worked for a doctor assisting patients in obtaining medical cannabis cards — often helping older patients navigate the digital application process. She also previously worked at Ascend Dispensary in Montclair.

Rob, a medical cannabis patient who uses cannabis to manage anxiety and depression, plays a key role in running the business. His background includes operating a mall kiosk franchise and working in medical sales.

The Puleos are serial entrepreneurs, also known for operating Sandwich Joint in nearby Verona.

Opening HZY Goods was a lengthy process. The couple explored several towns before finding success in East Orange.

The dispensary received its conditional license from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) in July 2022, and its annual license — required to operate — in December 2024.
